Container load planning with 3D stowage

Simulate how many pallets and boxes fit in a 20ft, 40ft, 40ft HC or 40ft reefer, how much the cargo weighs and how best to place it, before you book space with the shipping line.

Free to start, nothing to install. Works in the browser and on your phone.

Side-view sketch of a container with pallets stowed in two tiers

Book the right container and fill it well

How many pallets and boxes fit

Test the cargo in a 20ft, a 40ft or a High Cube and compare how much volume and payload each one uses.

Weight and center of gravity

Check the total weight against the container payload and avoid loading too much to one side or toward the back.

Real stacking and order

It respects each box’s stacking limit, fragile items and boxes that cannot be rotated, so the plan can actually be executed on the dock.

Foreign-trade documents

Generate the country-specific packing list and the load manifest as PDFs from the same plan.

Dock mode

Open the plan on your phone and guide the stuffing of the container box by box.

Reference containers

Interior dimensions from the CubiPacks base catalog. They are good for a first estimate; the final booking is confirmed with the shipping line.

From packing list to stowage plan

  1. Import the packing list

Paste the list, upload a PDF or a photo, or add pallets and cartons with their dimensions and weights.

  2. Choose the container

Compare a 20ft, a 40ft ST, a 40ft HC or a reefer, or let CubiPacks recommend the best fit.

  3. Export and stuff

Download the plan and documents, or open dock mode on your phone to guide the loading.

Container loading: frequently asked questions

How many pallets fit in a 20ft and a 40ft container?

With 1.20 × 1.00 m pallets, a 20ft floor takes about 10 and a 40ft takes 20 to 21. The total also depends on height and permitted stacking, which is why simulating the real cargo is worth it.

What is the difference between a 40ft ST and a 40ft High Cube?

They share the same length and width, but the High Cube is about 30 cm taller inside (close to 2.70 m versus 2.39 m), giving more volume for light or stackable cargo.

Does it work for reefer containers?

Yes. The catalog includes the 40ft Reefer High Cube with its interior dimensions and reference payload.

How do I balance the weight inside the container?

CubiPacks computes the cargo’s center of gravity and shows it next to the total weight against the payload, to avoid a load heavy on one side or toward the back.

Can I get the packing list?

Yes. From the same plan you can generate a PDF packing list with country-specific identification marks, plus the load manifest.
